Approximately 60 Days and Counting until the 2024 Golf Season Starts.

Before you know it, winter will be gone, and we will all be out there chasing that little white ball from hole to hole on our favourite golf courses.

I have created a summary of the costs of playing golf at the top five golf courses in the Bay of Quinte/Prince Edward County Golf Region.

If you like to play most of your rounds at the same golf course, and you golf often, you are usually rewarded with lower green fees at your home course.

Golfers who are flexible and can golf in the afternoon on less popular days of the week will pay lower green fees.

Those golf lovers busy with work, family, and life in general, who can only golf on the weekends pay the highest green fees. You can cut green fee costs a bit by teeing off later in the day, but then you’ll probably miss dinner and that sucks.

Green Fee Packages for Everyone

Looking at the green fee rates and different membership packages for the top five courses can be a bit of a dizzying experience. They all have their little twists and turns with various scenarios.

Many different factors go into determining green fee and membership package rates such as your age, how many rounds you want to play in the season, what days of the week you want to play, how many holes you want to play, what time of day you want to tee off, and so on.

Comparing Apples to Apples

Since the average golfer plays 25 to 35 rounds each year, I am just going to re-cap pricing for a few select categories. I am also including the 60 to 80 rounds per year memberships for those regular golfers.

Some of these rates are straight from the golf course rate sheet. Other rates have been calculated by combining smaller green fee packages to arrive at 20 and 40 membership packages respectively.

  1. Regular Green Fees — Weekends at prime time

  2. 20 Rounds/year — no time restrictions, not transferable

  3. 40 Rounds/year — no time restrictions, not transferable

  4. 60–80 Rounds/year — no time restrictions, not transferable All prices exclude 13% HST.
